Graphic Artists? - GeoMaSh Logo

Anyone in the group have any experience with making logos? Think it would help draw people to the group if we could post a logo with a link to the group's site on our hides.

Any ideas on what we want the logo to be or involve? The mahoning and shenango valleys have a strong steel backround so maybe incorporate an I-Beam somehow ? I-Beams are the structure for buildings so it could represent the group being built/formed then build or add around that. Maybe something nature related since caching involves nature. Possibly a recycle emblem somewhere to represent our CITO efforts. Just some thoughts. Any input is greatly encouraged!

I've designed numerous logos in my time,mincluding the current logo for oneComputer, I just slapped this one together.

I like the idea of something unique that helps set the region apart. Probably more preferential to the rivers and valleys myself rather than steel, but looking forward to thoughts from others.

Maybe do something like a few mountains/hills and a river valley with a bridge spanning the valley? The hils and valley represent nature and the bridge could represent the steel for the backbone of bridging the gap. Kinda like to connect the valleys through geocaching. Just a thought. This is everyones group so come on folks let's get some more input than just from a crazy Dr. and a Nut HAHA!

Not sure how detailed ya want it to be, but how about an old stone blast furnace along a river. Both valleys have rivers as well as blast furnace ruins. This also highlights both our love of nature and the regions history.

The 2 winding rivers around the words MASH valley and the blast furnace or something representing our area ....

I like the idea of something that incorporates those themes, but is a bit more abstract... It's hard to put all of those details into a log that, when viewed on a phone or in avatar is pretty small.

Color palette could be blue (river / water), gray/siler (steel) and green (woods / nature)
